CHANGES IN CLAT 2017
a) CLAT 2017 entrance exam was announced on 25 December 2016.
b) In this year Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur had been included in CLAT committee.
c) Due to this, the offered number of seats for the exam is increased by 60.
d) The disappointment for general category candidates in this year is that the BCI has reduced the Age limit for the entrance exam.
e) According to the notice released on September 17 by Bar Council of India, CLAT committee has decided that only those candidates whose age is 20 years until July 1, 2017, are allowed to participate in the examination.
f) For SC/ST/OBC candidates, this age limit is 22 years.
g) The promise of ‘No maximum Age’ had been organized in 2015.
h) There was no age limit for this exam till last year. But a number of applicants did not meet the decided expectation level.
How to Apply for CLAT 2017
You can apply for CLAT entrance exam from January 1, 2017.
1) You need an active mobile number and E-mail ID
2) You can apply online and fill the login details along with user ID and password.
3) The application fee for the exam is Rs 4,000/- for General category candidates. Besides this photocopy of class 10 and class 12 mark-sheets has to attach in the form of documents.
4) For SC/ST candidates the fee for the exam is Rs 3500/-
5) You can apply either online or offline mode.
6) Payments can be made through debit card, Debit card, Net banking or Challan.
Qualification FOR CLAT 2017
a) Minimum 45% marks in the 12th board for general candidates.
b) Minimum 40% marks in the 12th board for reserved candidates.
c) Age limit should be applied according to new laws.
d) Candidates appearing class 12 exams this year can also apply. But all the remaining procedure should be completed at the time of admission.
HOW TO PREPARE CLAT 2017- STUDY PLAN
To crack CLAT 2017 exam candidates have to focus the following subjects:
English: In the English subject candidates should make good command over Grammar section, passage theme and vocabulary section. Also, other sections which include fill in the blanks, Grammatical Errors correction, sentence arrangement.
General knowledge: For General knowledge preparation, one should focus on Current Affairs of National & International region, factual general knowledge.
Reasoning: This section covers questions on pattern link, the capability to find logical Arguments, Syllogism, Logical sequence, and Analogy.
Mathematics: Numerical questions based on class 10, Quantitative Aptitude.
Legal Aptitude: Questions on General Knowledge. This is a very important section.
